I am a stay at home mom also. But, if we can't sell this Denver house I might work a few hours in the morning while my kids are at school, a few days a week. I'm not sure yet. My DH wants me to go back to school to finish my Master's degree. Either way, it's ALL up in the air right now!!

I don't have kids and I own my own business, so I'm pretty flexible. And you're right; SeaWorld isn't far from me. Maybe we need to start a new book club?

I'm very interested in starting a book club. I'll read just about anything as long as it is interesting and can hold my attention.

I do work during the day but am off during the weekend. So we could have a Saturday brunch/book club meeting or an evening meeting. Either would work for me.

For me, something on Saturday would be better than a weekday evening. The reason I'm flexible during the day is because I do a lot of my work late in the day and into the evening.

If you haven't had any luck yet, call the closest book store to where you live....Barnes and Noble or Borders both have regular book clubs and allow them to meet at their stores. If they have days and times available, they would most likely welcome more.

Also check with your branch of the library or the downtown location.

Meetup.com is a great web site for finding local interests and groups to meet new people. They are almost all held in public locations and many have spin off groups as the membership size gets to large, or if dates and locations need to be adjusted.

Welcome to SA!

Would anyone be up for setting a time to meet at Starbucks or Barnes and Noble or something? We could just sit and meet each other and take it from there. Maybe discuss starting our book club, etc. Anyone?

The Books A Million Store in Alamo Ranch has book clubs every month. They have one for Christian Books, Fiction Books, Non-Fiction Books, and Literature.

I'd have to wait a couple of weeks because we're having some work done on our house and I need to be around, but I'd meet up with you at a starbucks or B&N, mojokitty.
