Spanish speaking group/clubs in San Antonio
Hello everybody!
I recently moved to San Antonio (one month ago) from California. I am trying to find activities where I can meet new people and get more involved in the community. I speak English but prefer speaking Spanish with others since it is my first language and I think it carries more meaning to me to carry a conversation in Spanish. Anyway, I am looking for a Spanish youth church group (I am Catholic), Spanish literary group (Cafe literario), Spanish dance classes- me encanta el baile folklorico mexicano- especially if the group has some ballet technique embedded in their training, or any other Spanish club or group that meets to do activities...
I live in the west side of San Antonio, by the way.
Thanks in advance!

For Latino arts and culture check out www.guadalupeculturalarts.org They are located on the W Side and offer dance, art, and music classes. They also have various events thruout the year, like Flamenco Dance Production Performances coming up later this month. I hope you check it out! I absolutely love being immersed in my culture and this is certainly the place to do it!

I also wanted to mention St Jude Catholic Church. They are located on 130 S San Augustine, (210) 432-8044. I dont know what activities they offer but maybe you can contact them and see what they have going on. Good luck to you and I hope you enjoy living here!

I think Mr. Jgarcia might be a "senor" rather than a "senora."
