If I am not mistaken this is the address to the Kress Building and/or the adjacent parking lot. In 2006 several media reports stated that the Kress Building is going to be renovated and incorporated into a new 27-story hotel and condo tower that will be built on the adjacent, vacant lot. The project is being developed by the same company that built the Hotel Valencia down the street. At that time it there was speculation that the new hotel would be a part of the Toronto-based Fairmont Hotels & Resorts chain. (

Other announced hotel projects for Houston Street are a 16 story Embassy Suites on Houston and Soledad, the parking lot across the river from at&t HQ that was announced in May of 2006 (
