The Casino Building is an apartment building. As for the recent renovations, what you probably saw was the construction to make way for yet another Landry's Restaurants Inc. chain, Saltgrass Steakhouse, which opened in October 2007. |

oh cool!!! i wonder how expensive they are!?!?!?
anywho i was driving around town today and was passing by la tuna on probandt and clay i saw that there was a rendering for some really neat 2 to 4 storie flats and retail i was really excitd to see this kind of development if you want more info the website is claystreetflats.com !!! |

Yeah, the Clay Street Flats is going to be a very nice development. Along with Cevallos Street, those two developments will help change SoFlo and Southtown.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts
i think that is going to be an aloft hotel above kress not W, although they are both starwood. Hotels in San Antonio Texas, Best Western, Comfort Suites, Clarion, Quality Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Econo Lodge #14 on this page looks like it will be on the kress, not on the vacant lot.

The aloft project and the Kress/W Hotel project are two separate entities.

The aloft project is across the street next to the macerick building. Its an old building that will get knocked down i believe.

Anybody heard anything new of the approved Embassy Suites on the lot across from the IBC & AT&T buildings on houston st.? The Embassy Suites website says that the S.A. Hotel is opening in July 2009?

They are building two Hyatt Hotels in the Stone Oak Area on 281 and sonterra
They just put up the signs...its on Sonterra east of 281...
