I need to purchase some outdoor furniture for my patio. Right now we have 2 plastic Adirondack chairs that we brought from up north, and I really want to spruce it up as I am really enjoying my first winter here. Instead of spending alot of time running around trying to find the best deals, I was hoping that I could pick the brains of everyone here on the forum as to where I might go to find reasonable prices. I am looking for a table and 4 chairs for dining. Possibly also a wicker set for just relaxing. I live on the NW side but am willing to go around town if necessary. Don't want to get to pricey.

Thanks for the help!

Target always has pretty pieces for reasonable prices. You may also want to check out Costco, last year they had a really nice metal bistro set for really cheap like around 80 dollars.

I bought a really nice wicker set from Chair King (Days of Allah and 10) last summer. I love it! It was fairly reasonable in price. I love the stuff at Greenhouse Mall, but they are really high.

If you're interested in sustainability as well as style, check out the outdoor furniture at Big Grass Bamboo on Hildebrand. The furniture is gorgeous... some styles more rustic and some more refined. It's all handmade by artisans who set their own prices (fair trade) and all made of renewable bamboo. Prices are very good for the excellent quality (but will be somewhat higher than cheap Chinese stuff at the big box stores). They're open 7 days a week & locally owned.

i was going to suggest Chair King as well --- I know some think they are a little high but i found some great bar stools there...solid wood, 30inch high, micro fiber seats...they were on sale for $54 each and when i went to pay for them the girl said "i went ahead and let you have them for $50 each"...fine by me...

everywhere else i looked for barstools they were $75 and up...

We have an aluminum outdoor set from Chair King that is 12 years old. No problems. You get what you pay for.

We shopped around a ton and ultimately got a set from Home and Patio. Their original location is on 410 near Broadway and Nacogdoches, and they just opened up a second location near I-10 and Boerne Stage Road.

I went to Sam's last year and obtained 4 chairs and a table made of rod iron for less than $120. They are still in great condition!
