Haven't tried it yet, but there's a place on Pat Booker, just outside of Randolph AFB. It's called Youz Guys & it's supposed to be pretty authentic.

I loved Malik, but honestly, his sandwiches weren't all that. The one I visited was at the Quarry and it's been gone for some time now. Not sure if there were others.

Philly Connection at Callaghan and 10 is pretty good.

What happened to The Delaware Sub Shop? That was the best and closest to a real Philly steak I've had in this part of the country.

Was it this one?

Cheesesteaks and Chinese Food

Couple of places that come to mind for me for philly sandwiches are Texadelphia on 281 at Bitters and Boston Subworks Diner on West Ave. I've never had one in Philly, so I'm not necessarily a good judge of whether either place is authentic.

I liked Philly Connection a lot (and posted that a few times in the other thread). I haven't been there in a at least 6 months, though, so something could've happened to the quality. I also received only positive feedback from everyone I recommended the place too and that included a couple people from Pennsylvania (none actually from Philly, just near there). It's also one of only two places I know of that sells TastyKakes; the other place is the commissary on Lackland.
