If you see someoen littering, you can have the TXDOT send them a letter saying they were recently spotted littering. All you have to do is write down the license plate number and a few minor things and submit the info using a handy online form. See this link for more info!

Don't Mess with Texas - Report a Litterer

I did this a couple of times years ago.

I've seen people smoking WHILE pumping gas. Why? I just don't understand why people flick their cigarettes either. It looks so trashy to see cigarette butts all over the city. Not to mention it can cause fires and is so dangerous.

This also bothers me. I saw a lady smoking in her car, with her window barely cracked and two little ones in the back seat. Oh, that just gets me! Well, leave it to my little one who's 4 to go up to total strangers and tell them the health dangers of smoking. Yes, really, he does this. I have to tell him not to bother people all of the time.

I was once sitting at a traffic light on 281 when I saw a guy get out of the car in front of me and try to hand the driver of the car in front of his the lit cigarette the driver had just tossed out the window. I don't think the driver took it back.

Part of me admired the guy's moxie and part of me wondered if he might get shot or punched for doing that someday.
