Question Relocation Help - San Antonio (SA)

As a result of the BRAC, my husband and I will be relocating to San Antonio this summer. I kind of like the idea of the 55 and better type housing areas. From the research I've been doing, I am only aware of the Del Webb housing area in SA. Does anyone know of any other area that is similar? We are looking for a community that has a clubhouse, pool, walking trails, exercise facility, etc. Thanks, Barb

What is BRAC? Barrack? Never mind, I just Googled it. Del Webb is the only 55+ that I know of. I don't think there are too many.

Aside from the Del Webb community, I came across Timberhill Villas. It states it is an active adult community, Timberhill Villa - The Gracious Retirement You Deserve! . Also, if you or your husband are a retired military officer there is the Air Force Villages, Military Officer Retirement Community in San Antonio, Texas (TX) .: Air Force Village .

55 and better? I don't know of any neighborhoods for people under 55 years old.

There's a neighborhood for people older than 55 though... somewhere around Sea World. A coworker lives there and she was under 55 when she moved in (maybe she's married to someone who was older that age at the time). I think the neighborhood was built about 3 years ago? Never paid attention to what's there besides houses so I don't know what else is around.

Thanks TexaCO. From what I've been reading on line, some of the suburban communities have all the amenities we are looking for as well. They just are not limited to folks 55 +.
