HUGE Black Smoke Plume on NW Side
What's going on? I saw a huge black smoke plume off of Loop 1604 on the far W/NW side.

I was at Culebra and Westover Hills when I saw the smoke. It's much closer to the city than Kerr county. Thick black smoke, not a brush/grass fire.

I saw some guy burning brush between Medina Lake and Hondo when I was flying and circled around him. He took off like a bat out of hell. I think he thought I was a patrol or something. What an idiot. All it takes is one little cigarrette (yea, I misspelled it, so!) butt.

Ksat just reported a detached garage on fire on the NW side...some street that starts with a Q I think...but I wasn't paying much attention. Firemen have it under control. Hopefully that's what ya saw!
