I really need a good baby-sitter & am not having any luck asking neighbors. Most of them have family in the area that they send the kiddos to. Since we have no family here & it's sort of hard to ship the kids to OH or CA for an evening out or appointments during the day, I really need someone I can trust.
If you have any suggestions PLEASE DM me. THANK YOU in advance.

Sent you a DM. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you since family is in MD and well, DH's family here acts like we don't exist. But I digress LOL. What I DM'd you has worked out for me numerous occasions if I don't want "burden" my friends LOL!

Try asking at Elrod Elementary and see if they know of anyone in the neighborhood.

Call 211 and ask for a childcare referral. They do the hard work for you and give you a list of folks meeting your criteria that actually have space available.

United Way (http://www.unitedwaysatx.org/Pages/Help%20Line%20211.html - broken link)

Great link to local resources!

Did you just give out your phone number on a very popular forum in a 3-month old babysitting thread to offer help?
