36 of America's richest citizens live in Texas. 3 of them in San Antonio. They are #140 Charles C. Butt (H.E.B.), #278 Christopher Goldsbury (Pace Salsa), and #297 Billy Joe McCombs (Clear Channel Communications).

Just to compare to other cities in Texas:

Dallas - 13/400
Houston - 9/400
Ft. Worth - 8/400

The other 3 live in The Woodlands, Austin, and Temple. Could you imagine their taxes?

Kinda creepy that you know the billionaires of San Antonio off the top of your head. Joke. Yeah Mays is a billioniare, but is no longer one the 400 richest Americans (according to Forbes 400 Richest Americans of 2007). Don't worry I'll be the next. I wish!

I'd love to know who the 9 in Houston are. I think I dated one in college!

Just for clarification....Red McCombs was a co-founder of Clear Channel Com.
He's more well known for his automotive dealerships, former owner of the Spurs and the Minnesota Vikings.
