This is just north, across Culebra, from AR Marketplace. NOTE: There is a Futher Regional Sports Complex in the works. Should be cool.

Here's the plan. Looks like a major anchor is to be a large home improvement store. Maybe a Lowe's ? Considering Home Depot is already nearby?

That's too bad that they're planning to over develop that area. Culebra Creek is a beautiful, peaceful area in the middle of all of it, but it looks like it will probably be ruined with the sports complexes.

If you get a chance, I highly recommend walking up Culebra Creek between 1604 and Westwood loop...I did some geocaching back there, and forgot where I was!

I'm new to geocaching - I checked out the maps on the GC website, and man there are a lot of caches around! Time to get exploring!

A decent GPS for beginning geocaching can be had for under $100, easily.

The sky's the limit if you want color maps, larger memory, etc. I think the one my wife is now using set me back $250, and she's been hinting that she wants an upgrade...

The one I got at Target was $150...but if you want detailed maps, you should spend the extra money. I planned on using mine just for geocaching and finding my way back home from places, but it does have the main roads in the area.

There are 3 caches back on Culebra Creek in that area, and the dog and I had a wonderful day going to find them...I really am saddened that they can't just leave areas like that alone. All it's going to do is contribute to more flooding because they're building in the natural flood plain of the creek, and it destroys a beautiful natural area. That's one of the things Austin gets right that San Antonio gets wrong so often...leaving areas undeveloped on purpose.
