I am looking for a violin teacher in the San Antonio, Texas area. I would like to take violin lessons in exchange for yard work or handy man stuff.
If you are interested, please let me know. I would be a beginner. If you are not interested, please pass this note to another violin teacher.
Thanks

There are definitely some very good violin teachers in SA. You might contact the San Antonio Symphony to see if any of the orchestra members teach private lessons. Also the music departments at the various universities would most likely have referrals.

Good luck!

I got a violin. Broke the string and too lazy to get it fixed

You got me motivated again.

It will be difficult finding one who will do things "in exchange" for giving you lessons. I am a piano and voice teacher with a college degree in music education, and I prefer cash up front for a month of lessons. You might find a college student to give you lessons in exchange for services, or someone who plays as a hobby. Check out the local piano studios, they always have violin teachers. If you have a child in school, approach their music teacher, who always has a list of teachers on hand to recommend to parents.

Antonio Strad Violin

My daughter took lessons there a few years ago. We also had our violin repaired and were very happy with their service.
