We are trying to reach disabled VETS in San Antonio and the surrounding areas. They are entitled to a one time benefit of $4,100 to be applied towards remodeling their bathroom. [mod]advertising[/mod]

I am assuming that they would have to have MOBILITY disabilities vs being a "disabled Vet" in general, correct??? There are many disabled vets without need for wheelchairs/walkers.

Anyway, good to know that they are entitled to this modification allowance if they need it.

You can also contact the United Way at 211. They are a resource/information referral agency that can connect you with organizations specializing in veteran's needs, etc.

(it's also for non-veterans, was just being specific to candod's post)
