We went also and I love Luminaria. We went last year but we were so tired by the end of the day, we didn't get to see much. This year we stayed until almost 10. We saw San Antonio's 3 tenors, and it was amazing. Just listening to the music and enjoying the surroundings was an amazing experience. I just wish the weather would have cooperated a little better and would have been warmer! We were freezing!!! My 4 year old loved the guys with the fire batons. I love events like that...it just suits what I love. I thought it was cool that they had the lights shining up on the buildings and then poetry being flashed up on the side of a building. I didn't see the steam roller but that would have been cool. I saw the guy with the dust on his vehicle. I took a few pics too but I don't know how to post. Anyway, this type of event is right up my ally. LOVE that they have it and can't believe this was only the 2nd year for it! Thanks for the pics smitty!

A San Antonio Police officer smoking a cigar while directing traffic at Luminaria, I just couldn't resist taking the picture....

Please if you going to feel the need to comment on whether or not this is permissible activity for a police officer, take it to another thread. Thanks!

I actually like that pic. Thanks for all of your contributions, photography-wise! I haven't seen a bad picture from you yet.

The truck that brought the books, also had magnets where people could make their own art...

The Alamo had a few people dressed up in period costumes. Here is a Mexican Army officer.
