No they're not. That hippie attitude is so mis-guided and I'd like to see YOU haul a tree to a re-foresting site in the back of a Prius.
Instead of repairing existing roads, revenue seems to go to the building of new roads instead.
That's because deep inside I think the average SA'er rejected the idea of being a shameless opportunistic scab trying to exploit Hurricane Katrina to take New Orleans' team from them.
I like that. An NFL team would work better and I think it's sad that SA is probably the only major US city that doesn't have one.
oh well. You won't find me investing millions to develop a business on the southside. Companies build where the money is, and guess where it's not?
I STILL get upset at thinking that Guns N Roses never played here.

Guns and Roses did play here at Randy's Rodeo on Bandera Road ! Big stink about it. People threw stuff at them.

ditto the hating 1604 between Potranco and Bandera part!! I HATE those traffic lights at Guilbeau and Braun.
I do LOVE the diversity in the city and, in some respects, that small-town feel.

They're lower than most other metro areas in this country (Miami, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, LA, Atlanta, etc)
Do you have facts to support this assertion, or are you making an educated guess (about poverty levels in SA versus other cities)?

Yes, I must have read about that a dozen times. Forgot how I dug up that info.
You know , I could be wrong. Just been checking internet for info. Maybe it was the "Sex Pistols". I'm now thinking I was wrong . Sorrrrry!

Los Angeles also does not have an NFL team.
Love: I can't describe it but it's home. You ever go on a long trip and just miss the hell out of this place? Just like Dorothy said, "There's no place like home"
Hate: Traffic on 1604 when there is no way around it.

For some reason I dislike the Tezel Rd./Bandera/Guilbeau road area. Traffic sucks...and there isn't anything interesting to look at over there.
We took my brother-in-law and our niece on the riverwalk a couple of weeks ago. I was soo proud of my city when our boat road by arneson and Fiesta Noche del Rio was in full swing with 20 Flamenco dancers swinging their skirts and stomping their hearts out with a mariachi band serenading us as we passed under the bridge. Everyone on the boat went "WOW!". It was beautiful...the colors, sights, sounds of SA!
