Yes. I believe that is the correct grammar to use. Actually spelling out "y'all" makes one sound like a dumb country hillbilly. But if that is how you want to portray yourself online then so be it.

"Y'all" is a perfectly acceptable regional slang and has absolutely nothing to do with one's level of intelligence. Deducting intelligence (or lack thereof) from regional mannerisms will lead to poor conclusions and make that person sound like a bigot.

Right on! I thought the use of y'all was actually a requirement to living in Texas. Hmmm.

Now people who, say, insert the word "like" after, like every other, like word are, like, not necessarily dumb, but, like, really, really annoying. To coin a phrase from my home state.... "Ya know what I'm sayin?"

Or someone extremely difficult to understand through jaws wired firmly shut after yer last run-in with callin' some (normally) polite, soft-spoken person a bigot. Rearrangin' the dental work of smug, rude city-slickers like chiclets is essentially an art form in many parts of Texas.

Actually, that is exactly how I am trying to portray myself on this forum. After all, I am the Hill Country Hot Rod Man. By the way, I would be honored to be called a dumb country hillbilly.

You know what I love about San Antonio? Even at 6 in the morning the roads are full of slow drivers. I thought they just drove slowly because of the traffic.

You must not have moved very far. Because the only place on the Internet I have seen people actually demonstrate to others that they are morons by spelling out the word "y'all" are from Texas
What a flatterer, you silver tongued critter you!!

"Ya'll" is the common pronunciation among native Texans. I am one BTW. Are you?

Getting back to the thread, I like so many things about SA it's too long to list so I'll just cite the downside IMHO: too many home break-ins.

I don't think it looks stupid. Besides, ya'll really is not the worst thing on the internet.

When you have conversations like this on the internet: "ttyl roflmao b2b"...

Ya'll is the least of our problems.

The insane wasteful spending in High School football when there's no enough money for education, and nobody points it out.

Here's one example from New Braunfels.
First High School in the country to install "colored turf", almost $1 million just to make the field look red.

I saw that!
Just not cool when so many cuts are being made in the academics but spend money on athletics.
