I hate sapd and getting pulled over cuz its a holiday. I hate susan reed, love downtown, love the eastside. I hate anybody that supports gov perry that lives in san antonio, money hungry city officials who cant think of better way to make money than to have people dragged into jail for 15hrs for a ticket they cant afford to pay is that better you english majors .

Yes I've had similar experiences with Latinos as well, being in the construction trade for 23 yrs. At first they seem to be always on the defensive, but once you break the ice and open up they are very eager to be friends

I don't see it that way. I see it as I don't want to go over there empty handed and introduce myself without bringing something to welcome them, no matter the race, ethnicity, gender, other characteristics. Somebody needs to break the ice.
I think folks here in S.A. now have more of a guard up than before, been burned badly in the past I suppose.

One of the things I love about the city is the proximity to all the recreational areas. There's something for everyone who likes the outdoors. River and lake swimming, fishing, hunting, camping, etc. And it's close to my fav golf course, the Buckhorn out in Comfort. There are tons of State parks and towns for a one tank (or less) day trip. Pick a direction on the map and go, and you'll find something cool along the way.

I like the history and closeness to recreational areas and the coast (after being in Houston for 3.5 years, I start to appreciate the coast). I also like the friendliness of the people.
