Title says it all. What do you love the most and hate the most about San Antonio? I'd appreciate all replies from long time residents to new transplants.

Love the fact that the majority of people are relaxed and easy going and friendly and helpful. Love Stone Oak, Shavano Park, Dominion, Schertz, Cibolo, New Braunfels, Kerrville, and other outskirts of town north of loop 1604. Love the 'thick' mexican women.

Hate the joke called 1604. Hate the slowness of the construction of new roads and highways all across this city. Hate the drivers here. They drive way too damn fast all the time. Hate how the city basically shuts down when the Spurs are in the play-off's. It is beyond being supportive to the point where it's comprable to a fetish. Hate the lack of sky scrappers downtown. Hate that SA can not land a second pro sports team.

Absolutely love, love, love downtown!! (Check out May's issue of San Antonio Magazine for a beautiful pictorial on downtown architecture!)

Hate - no In n' Out or Trader Joe's.

LOVE the history! (does that surprise anyone?)

Love the convenience of where I'm located to just about anywhere in town within 20 minutes or less.

Love the food, the people, the sense of community (and yes, the fanatical loyalty to the Spurs helps unite many in this city with a positive common interest.)

Love the food.

Love the rustic beauty of the hill country and real working ranches within a short drive of town.

Shopping is so so.....no love or hate there....average....but make shopping out of town more FUN!

Travel from here is long to just about anywhere....but airfare is resonable.

Hate the increasing traffic congestion (shades of DFW coming ...EEK!!)

Hate the dating scene for us voluptous women in the "pink" category. (Austin isn't any better.)

Love the melting pot feel

Love the easygoing-ness

Love the small town atmosphere without it actually being a cowtown

I've never had a problem with latino women.

Hate the small mindedness of SA residents.

Hate the lousy city leadership

Hate the cookie cutter developments spouting up.

Hate the lack of sidewalks. SA is too car-centric.

Hate the lack of parks.

Also, I hate that there seems to be stray dogs and cats everywhere you go.

I just moved here from Nashville and I love this city! I love that there is always something to do here. I love that the people are welcoming and friendly. I can't say that I hate anything, although driving here is a little different....everyone seems to have the right-of-way at the same time

I love all the sunshine. (It's not sunny today so I am not happy today.)
I love being closer to my family who live in Austin.
I love having a big house that I can afford to decorate any way I like (Gardenridge and Hobby Lobby are AWESOME!).

I hate the ugly landscape of the area. (It is looking better these days thanks to all the rain of course.)
I hate 1604 between Potranco and Bandera.
I hate Frontage roads!
