Yeah, it's gonna bite. First pitch at 4:05. But I don't want to be a wimp - I mean, think of the poor players, you know?

I just got done walking 2 miles and trust me, it is just really humid out there already. A bit cool, but I was drenched in sweat. Looked just like now after getting out of the shower.

Good for you! (for the walking so early today). Was gonna make my kiddo go to Govt Canyon with me today but I just don't think I'll be up for it in this humidity/heat. I'm all for hot Texas summers...but come on now!

There is a meetup group that went to Enchanted Rock yesterday.....if not for Star Trek at the Imax I was going to try and go......I think I would have melted. Star Trek was much more fun!

You know it's really humid when you are still sweating after you take a shower...

The cool thing about Fredericksburg is that it's always 3-5 degrees cooler compared to San Antonio.

Believe it or not, I haven't. I have driven into the park and have walked around the place, just never got to hike it 'cuz the peeps with me didn't want to do it. But I hear that it's quite easy for people of all ages. There's an entrance fee and you can also camp over night, but it can get crowded sometimes.

Anyways, it IS kind of hot and unless it cools down, I would probably avoid it since the sun will be hitting you for hours as you hike. Go tubing or kayaking instead!

I think it would be a good place to visit in the winter. I went to Lost Maples in the fall (leaf color changing time) and it was still crazy hot. Very, VERY dry heat, but still very hot.
