We got caught in the rain heading to Pleasanton. It was scary but great at the same time. The rain gauge out on my grandparent's property read 3.5 inches by 5pm. (Atascosa Co)

Glad to hear the temps are down and I hope it stays that way so I can enjoy some. For some reason people crank up the heat here in some places. The Louvre was crazy hot and uncomfortable, but I saw Mona and Venus, so I'm good for that one. I also walked along the Champs and saw the Arch and have mastered the subways. I don't know why people don't like this place. Most people are nice and English has not been much of an issue as long as you get creative and know a little French or another language. There is a LOT of Spanish here too, but it's Castilian. It's about as diverse as you can get and some crazy clothes. Witch boots are really popular and I think they look retarded.

no, but the nosey neighbor downstairs is getting on my last nerve. She is constantly looking out her window when anyone enters or leaves and I couldn't get the front door thing closed today, so she came out and yelled at me in French. I just kept saying OK and smiling even though I wanted to punch her no-life self. and this isn't being on the lookout for your neighbors, it's being a nosey bitty that has no life, no man, no anything..

ha ha, that would be funny, but she was genuinely angry. She seems like the type of person that sits around waiting for something to be mad about.
speaking of getting mad, it is SO nice to take a subway/Metro anywhere you want. SA SO needs one of these and it needs to service the entire city. I just go down, hop on one, and get off a few minutes later. No idiots in the left lane, parking issues, drunk drivers, just this annoying sax player that just happened to be on the same train with us when we left and came back. That was kinda disturbing..

I'd like an above ground one......the Metro in DC freaks me out....too dark. I'd probably be able to get used to it, though, with MEDS.

this place is being hit pretty hard by the recession, so the only thing that really matters is what's in your wallet, not which way you lean when you walk.. and I'm finally going to see the Eiffel Tower today. pretty sad that I've been here all this time and have yet to see it.
