Another great event tonight is Shakespeare in the Park at Botanical Gardens....As You Like It is being performed. It was great last night--NO MOSQUITOES and I was even prepared for those suckers--but fair warning--it's a very long play and another warning which is even more critical:

There is a magician at the beginning who is not for the squeamish. That is all.

I LOVE Shakespeare in the Park! Get there at 6:30 for the gate opening--it was PACKED last night! Play starts at 8 but the *magician* starts at 7:30.

Awesome! I finally figured out what Shakespeare meant the other day when he said, "To be, or not to be. That is the question". Took me years.

There's a sparknotes for that:

The question is: is it better to be alive or dead? Is it nobler to put up with all the nasty things that luck throws your way, or to fight against all those troubles by simply putting an end to them once and for all?

Go see the play. It's good.

Oh, really? I had come to a different conclusion.

Well, now I must go cut grass before I die from the humidity. To mow or not to mow...that is the question.

Great news if any of you have been trying to keep up with Baby Ava--the 18 month old hit in her own front yard by a stupid drunk lady that was so drunk she didn't even know she hit anything. She's still got a ways to go in her recovery, but thank God she's home and doing better!

Joyous homecoming for injured Baby Ava (http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local_news/Baby_Ava_returns_home_after_six-week_hospital_stay.html - broken link)

Troubles remain. Because of brain damage, Ava remains partly blind and cannot walk, crawl or sit up. She must drink liquids slowly to avoid lung problems.

Julie Ann Bronson, also a resident of Rogers Ranch, remains free on bond and is charged with two counts of intoxication assault and two counts of failure to stop and render aid.

This lady should thank God everyday that Ava isn't MY daughter.
