I was going to make a comment on the San Antonio skyline thread but it was closed.
San Antonio skyline is nice when you have heavy rain clouds but not as nice when you have clear, hot summer days. enough said!

So I'm back in SA now (yes, CD now has a reason to be happy again) after working on my folks patio in the backyard with a heat index of 115+ in Brownsville, Texas, I was able to consume copious amounts of water. I tried out all kinds of water brands from HEB spring water, Ozarka, Nestle Pure Water, etc and recently discovered FIJI water. OMG....I thought it was a gimmick...but FIJI really does taste much more crisp and fresher than the other water brands. I also learned that the difference between "purified" water and "spring water" is that purified water can come from urine, sewage, etc and is filtered until it's pure. Spring water on the other hand comes from springs, but they leave some minerals in it...it may not be from sewage, but you'd still be drinking from a large open water source. Some carcinogens can be there. FIJI comes from artesian water deep underground. This water has never been touched by air or pollution. It's airtight. It does taste good and there's no aftertaste. Goes down smooth. The only downside is that it is expensive...and the thought of paying a premium for WATER is crazy. I still drink from the tap water, but just wanted to share my experiences with that water brand.

He goes away, gets a little culture-fied with the fancy water, and now he thinks he's all better than us.

Welcome back to Fantasy Island, where it's wayyyyyy cooler than the Valley.

Yes, the off topic section has slowed down since I was gone. What's wrong with ya'll??

Yep, the weather sucked down there but the evenings were cooler for some reason.

Ha! It just occured to me that TTG does NOT mean "too, too gross" in WCat's post. It stands for Texastrkgrl.

TGIF.
