The only places I've eaten in Castroville are the little taco place, the bakery, and Sammy's. There is something that I truly love about Sammy's. Dunno what, but I think it's fun to stop and eat there.

Make sure you stop back thru with a Bush review.

what is Sammy's? and isn't there a place called Dzerky's? or something like that
a guy I work with called it Zerky's, but the Dz is a J sound, so it would sound like Jerky's, which probably makes much more sense..

If you're hauling it all the way to Castroville, you should eat at the Alsatian. Wonderful, wonderful food, great wine...worth the drive to Castroville!

It's actually a pretty close drive for me and a very pleasant one at that. I'm way out here on the far west side. AKA suburbia hell
I have heard that place is nice, but I'm going with a full load, so price will be an issue..

If you have the 2009 coupon book, I think there's a buy one/get one coupon for the Alsatian.
