it's a highway with no lights. those don't start until you get near stone oak, which is THE place to live in SA.. mostly because crappy traffic and uppity transplants are what makes a community special

and if this is true, how did he make it to the age he made it to? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...n-autopsy.html

You can make it in much less time than that during non-rush hour periods.

There are three lights as the airport exit road transits across 410, then become 281 South. No more lights to downtown. 15 minutes seems fair depending where downtown one is going and the downtown traffic.

There are some pretty potent curves on it, though, so be careful if you're in a truck or SUV. I almost got two side tires off the ground in a 1998 Grand Cherokee because it didn't look like as much of a curve as it actually was and that was going at or near the posted speed limit.

I totalled my car there. I got nipped on the rear end by an 18 wheeler and he sent me spinning across all the lanes....walked away without a scratch on me!

wonder if it was one of our fellow posters? the one that has issues with driving a big truck..

and I'm getting this installed right now: http://www.lumberliquidators.com/cat...ubCategoryId=0
I couldn't belive it was only $1.99 sq/ft and I found a guy on Craigslist that is doing the install for $1.25/sq ft and that includes ripping out the carpet. All parts including a matching (the wood) quarter round and T plus install for under $500 for a 110 sq ft room (was my daughters room a couple days ago)
next up is the stairs and those will be under $1K assuming the guy does a good job of course, but so far it's looking real good and they actually showed up.

Sounds like Craigslist is the place to go for some good deals nowadays?

I admit I put in a wood floor and I probably should have hired someone to do it.

Lately, I've seen SAPD patrols in unmarked cars on US-281 going after speeders around The Quarry Market, just north of Hildebrand. This would not be a good time to try to see if you can make that trip in under 15 minutes.

Nothing. I was lucky, and I will always sing the praises of Mazda. I was hit by 5 or 6 vehicles by the time it was all said and done. All I needed was a change of clothing from the waist down. It seemed to happen in slow-motion and I just knew I was going to die. Freaked me out, but an hour later I was at Enterprise getting a rental. I knew if I didn't get back in the driver's seat then, I never would.
