where's the TMI filter when you need it?

and I just had an amazing experience this morning. I left my house at 8:00, picked up my son his GF and their baby, drove to the airport, dropped everyone off, drove back home, and had almost zero traffic. If it wouldn't have been for the moron at Military and Ellison that ran up to his yield sign with hardly any intention of stopping, it would've been a zero incident drive of around 40 miles. Freaking amazing..
BTW, why do people hit yield signs at extremely high speeds here? and I'm talking the street yield signs, not the retarded highway access road yield signs. There is a really good chance you're not going to be able to go at that Ellison/Military intersection unless you have the red light, but this guy didn't seem to comprehend that.

I am a fan of Wimberley, TX. What a cute little town and Market Days was a lot of fun. I came home with a bougainvillea the size of a house for $21!!!!!! If anyone wants to come by and see it before I kill it, let me know.

Seriously, it was a nice weekend getaway....stayed at Mountain View Lodge and really had a nice time. Great views, and really friendly people.

Nice! I go there probably about once a week or so to work on a ranch out there. Not sure what route you took back to SA, but for me, it's faster when you take Fischer Store Rd from to Fischer, Tx to 281. Beautiful route.

It's going to be hot no matter where you go. But, those lodges are right in the heart of downtown. If you want to get away from traffic and noise, maybe better to find a B&B on the outskirts of town. There are many that need your business.

Mountain View Lodge is VERY peaceful. Away from town, too....the rooms are not fancy at all, but there is something about the property that is very charming, and the view off the balcony is great. Less than $100 a night also. My son thought swimming at night in the pool was the coolest thing ever. He doesn't get out much.

There is a B&B in town--Cypress Creek, I think it's called. And yeah, it's HOT there, too, but hot away from home is somehow not as bad. Market Days was hot, but it is very shaded in there and they sell bottled water for a buck....not too bad, and admission is free. You have to pay $3 to park, right across the street. I really had a good time--got some cool things, and a bogie to bury...er, put in my yard.

I think I'll wait and go again in October.....hopefully it will be cooler and there will probably be a ton of Christmas items for sale. One nice thing.....the prices were really reasonable, not like some craft shows I've been to.
