Check out this photo of the water vapor loop from a few days ago.

Fiery Blast from Hell! - Photos - Coast to Coast AM

I checked, it's a real photo. Here's the one from the weather service:

http://www.goes.noaa.gov/srcheast.html

I tried pasting a link, but it didn't work. You have to 'search' for it.

Use these selections:
Sector: GOES EAST CONUS
Day: WEDNESDAY
Week: Last
Channel: Water Vapor
Time: 1215Z

I used to listen to C2C all the time when Art Bell was the host. George is OK, but it never was the same show and I eventually stopped listening. I have some good stories from that show, though. One nearly gave me a heart attack on 151.

I found the show when I was working night shift. Art was great and he still guest hosts, although I think it's two or three times a year. George doesn't bother me, but sometimes he has guests that are really boring or so outrageous that I'm surprised they got on the air. For that reason and because I can't stay up all night any more, I have a Streamlink subscription and listen it to on my iPod. Streamlink also features two older shows each week, many of which are Art's shows.

I thought the same thing, except George was encouraging them, or at least he was on the shows I listened to. Someone would call in and you could tell they weren't totally stable from the beginning and he would push them along, almost encouraging them to make the story more interesting.
the one that got me most was a story on the mirror shadows (I seriously don't like mirrors). I was listening to it while driving down 151 back when it was just an access road. It was very dark and I turned around to look at my back seat and when I turned back around two eyes were looking right at me. Freaking deer almost gave me a heart attack, literally.

Yikes! I remember listening to the old Alan Dale show years ago when I was a teenager. I don't remember the ghost story that was told, but I do remember having a hard time sleeping that night! Dale's show was sort of a C2C format and he did a lot of supernatural themed shows.

You can go to the C2C website and browse through the recent shows and even listen to the highlights. Don't think you have to have a streamlink account, but you do have limited access. The one that looks interesting is one from 2006 where Art Bell interviews the guy from the Amityville Horror house....I know I read it was probably a hoax, but it will make for interesting listening instead of the politics as usual stuff on the radio...
