They're on my list, and so is Smashburger. I'm a Fudd fan....didn't go for years, and then when I went back, YUM, was it ever good. They actually stay on the bun when you eat them, and don't slosh all over the place. But they're not dry, just flavorful and firm--even when you get them medium-ish.

yep...tanks for clearing that up for me Sapph. I'm so close to Five Guys and I keep forgetting about it!

Chris Madrids and Burger Boy are still the best in my little testing grounds. And Chesters is good, but I'm not a poppyseed fan. Wish they had an option on that part!

Fuddruckers (although it's more fun to say the name in reverse) is my favorite too. They're the only ones that will cook it as bloody as I like it. A little cold in the middle and a puddle of blood on the plate is how I like my burgers

you don't know what you're missing. That's what the meat is supposed to taste like. It's like straight iced tea. No lemon, sugar, anything else.

If they don't handle the meat right, I'm sure it is, but it's so tasty and Fuddruckers is the only place I have found that will allow the burger to come out that rare. Besides, they're thick burgers, so the outside is cooked to a semi-hot sorta temperature. Everybody has their tastes and I honestly can't see how the Foodies eat all the stuff they eat. Most of the entrees on the menus of the higher end restaurants sound absolutely disgusting to me. Give me a nice thick burger that's very pink/red on the inside, some grilled onions, bleu cheese, green olives, tomatoes, lettuce, and a little bit of light mayo and mustard and I'm good to go.
BTW, you know the burger is perfect when the bottom bun starts turning pink too

well rd, I DEFINITELY agree with your choice of toppings! Awhile back you mentioned them and alot of folks thought the bleu cheese and green olives together sounded weird, but to me it sounds yeee-UM!!!

I thought Five Guys was a little like Fuddruckers, so you may like it.

Last time I was at Five Guys they had Six people working, so...not sure how that works out. The best time to go is right when they open (11am) because then it gets packed in a hurry and you may not get a table. Oh yea, free peanuts at the door.
