weak....feeling faint.....in need of negative O asap.....

My legs look like they have the chicken pox. I just got back from chaperoning my son's band end-of-year bash at Green Tree Tennis Club.....when I looked down at one point in the evening, I had EIGHT 747's on the landing strip otherwise known as "my calf"....Ohmygosh I am covered in bites.

Green Tree is a nice club, though. And the middle school band members could not have been better behaved. Great group of kids!

My dh will be starting college in the fall. She has been talking about majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Well, last night she tells me she wants to go for sports management.
What kinds of jobs do you get with that? I googled it and came up with some answers but I feel that Mech Engr would be a better choice. Of course, I know it isn't my life but I am footing a LOT of the bill. I would NEVER try to tell her what to do with her life. I just don't want her to make the wrong choice.
What do y'all think about a Sports Management degree??

Hmm, I have no personal opinion of a sports management degree (except it sounds pretty cool). But I will say that statistically, it is likely that she will change her mind at some point during her college education

Ya, that is what I keep hearing. I hear that about 75% of students change their major. Heck, she hasn't even started yet and is already talking about something different . The college she chose is $30K/year and I just hate to waste that kind of money.

Thanks for the reply!!

Txtrkgrl,
Sports management...I'm not sure.

How about helping her think of ways to merge the two things she likes: mechanical engineering and sports management. It sounds like she likes to manage and create things. An idea would be things like Outdoor Recreational Planner---a job that is now in demand due to the record number of people heading to the parks and/or needing recreational services management.
