Alright, I've had it with Hill Country Fare crap. Their milk has gone down the tubes...tastes like the cows were abused. Doesn't matter if you buy 2%, 1%, whole..it's all terrible.

Oak Farms wins for me.

When I lived in Tennessee, the store-brand milk always tasted like it was made from potatoes. I've never had any milk that bad here.

IIRC, someone once posted here that the HCF milk comes off of the same truck and out of the same processing plants as the other HEB brand.

My husband does too when the cookies come out the oven.

He's never complained that the off-brand milk tasted like potatoes or feet or whatever.

I drink fat free milk and usually buy the HCF brand because it's less expensive, tastes like every other FF milk, and we get 10% off with the HEB friends and whatever card my son gave us. I think I saved over $7 the other night with that card

the strange part is everyone hates anything that isn't FF milk in this house. Sometimes I'll get 1% because the expiration date on the FF wasn't good and they all think it's rotten. I personally love milk fat and would drink half and half all the time if I could, but I resist that sweet milky crack..

and somehow my cable modem came completely unplugged upstairs. Nobody is up there except my wife and she's passed out.
