Good Afternoon,

I have an odd request to insure the proper wording on an Invitation.

My Stepson has a new ($$$) home and he is going to have a House Warming Party. Is there a tactful way to state that the party is mainly for Adults? He does realize that there will be 1-2 Babies that will have to be with their Mom's and Dad's.

We had a House Warming Party 10 years ago and we furnished all the Food and Drinks. His Wife and He don't cook very much. My Wife and I suggested it be a "Pot Luck".

Any suggestions on tactful wording on not wanting kids to come and how to indicate a Pot Luck type meal?

Thank You

Clothing-optional Pot Luck at Our New Home!! Bring Copious Amounts of Alcohol Because There's Just No Telling What's Goin' Down!

Seriously, why don't they just make it an evening of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres rather than a full-out meal? Or a wine event with chocolate and cheese? Just make it start at 8:00 or so.

True, it's all in the timing. Have it start at noon and you're full-on cooking. Starting later at night tells them to eat before they get there and don't stay too long..

so... seems I'm the only one that thinks this was a case of someone not letting someone get on a highway.

I am inclined to agree with you RD. It is always a sad and tragic circumstance when someone loses their life this way. People just can't seem to grasp that cars are gigantic weapons that can kill. I hope the family will find peace in their hearts and hopefully (IMO at least) Officer Trevino will be cleared from any wrong doing if he was in fact in the right.

Hopefully it doesn't get swept under the table because there is something missing. I also hope there is some video of it to make it clear.
