I saw something on this on the news yesterday and the girl gets everything she deserves. Although the mom should get even more for allowing her to grow up that way. Just awful people all around (and ugly if you ask me).

That's just wrong! I can't believe the things people will do for money

About FB, I hear ya Nick, I thought I would be the last person to have a fb page but I am always on there now. I have re-connected with a lot of old friends. Plus I'm addicted to Farmville .

FB started out to be the "myspace for the old crowd" but now the yougins are moving over to fb from myspace. My daughters told me that not many of their friends are on myspace now they are all switching to fb.

Twitter..... I've probably spent a total of 2 minutes on there.

I'm not a tweeter either.

I think the more I work in the IT world, the less I want to do anything that has something to do with a computer.

TexNick

I agree, I've been able to reconnect with a lot of old friends via FaceBook; and while RD may think that every guy on there is a "pedophile or an immature beast," I believe he may be confusing FaceBook with MySpace, which was occupied by a much younger crowd.

And while the link FCF mentions may sound like a good deal, RD is right, given that the price of these things is dropping dramatically, the price of "lifetime updates" is more than what you can get a new device!

Also, it is only for "the lifetime of your Garmin device;" meaning it isn't transferable if you buy a new GPS.

Cheers! M2

LOL like city-data? There's really not much difference in here and there, except over there your name is posted. And you can choose who you want to talk to (over there). The block feature works.

Oh goodie....we get FB as a consolation prize since we don't qualify for holding a political office for not being allowed to join the Boy Scouts.

Regarding GPS- It all depends on the level of quality, desire to update maps frequently and how long one plans to keep the GPS.
One of our GPS' is over 5 years old and still going strong.

Tip- When ordering maps for additional countries (other than the pre-loads), always order the SD cards. I realize, that in this city anyway, not a whole heckuva lot of you are doing much traveling (besides being ordered somewhere..that's a whole other story) overseas...so maybe my tip is bunk.
These are swappable between units and are quite convenient. You'll have to wait for them in the mail, but well worth it.
Sure, you can download them immediately, but you can't swap (we have multiple units) and I'm not sure what happens if you've downloaded additional maps and your unit kicks the bucket. You may be in line behind those that are buying new units.

Egads...so typical of WOAI. Nothing but yellow journalism.
