By the time I left work at 6 I was so tempted to go to the ER, but I was also dog tired and wanted to just sleep. Hopefully it just goes away, otherwise I have a feeling this weekend isn't going to be fun.
I would have guessed gall bladder too. You can check symptoms at WebMD - Better information. Better health.
Don't let it go to long. If it gets worse, go to the doc.

I am pretty hungry... no taco's for me, though. I'm thinking box pizza from the commissary
the grease should let me know if it is a gall bladder thing, although I am really not a fan of greasy food and keep them to a minimum.

RD, it could be anything. Get it checked out for sure.

What's going on for the long weekend?

Pretty sure we are getting a hotel room on the River Walk, doing a little "staycation", bring the doggie too.

There are a suprising # of 4-star hotels on the River that allow pets.

I always wanted to do that, but my wife doesn't like the idea of going to a hotel in the city you live in. I see it as a way to unwind and maybe partake in some liquid refreshments without worrying about how you're going to get home.

and I am giving it until early tomorrow morning to go away. I figure if I leave for the ER at around 4-5 AM, I should get in and out pretty fast. However, it's the getting out part I'm worried about... last time my wife went there she didn't come home for 5 days and I really don't have time for that this month. We have a lot of important things going on at work and I want to take part in it. Luckily I work for a good company that will understand that sometimes things go wrong and you have no choice in the matter. Chances are if I'm in the ER, something is really wrong because I can't stand hospitals.

Yes, there is even that doggie that lives in the lobby.

I am looking all over including Hotwire (can't tell if the properties are dog friendly though).

There is a 4 star in the Riverwalk South - La Villita Area for $94 that fits the description of the Fairmount, I wonder if that is it...

On hotels.com the Omni La Mansion del Rio is just under $100.

Some pretty good deals folks.

Good luck on those hints

RD, whatever you do, do not go on a Saturday night to the ER....you will witness things that will scar you for months. Oh and...while waiting admittance (yes, you need to wait...unless you're having a heart attack) do not go to the ER's bathroom at Baptist Medical Center...

Any other questions, just let me know. Been there, done that

Happy early birthday, Perticusrex.

The differences in hospitals is really somthing...

Hubby went into a clinic with stomach pains on a Sunday evening a few years ago. Was sent to a hostpital for further testing, we had an appt. and were directed there by the clinic staff with his paperwork etc.

So we show up at some hospital - no idea where we were. Saw 2 stay pits on the way there, went in and some guy with a bloody hand is standing next to a woman who I assume to be he is mother. She is screaming and insisting that the woman whom her son hit had deserved it and that that b**** better not file charges.

There was a girl about 18 yrs old with a knife wound in her leg, in over hearing her story I knew she had been in a fight...

Then there was the gem of a lady wearing a "rug rats" t-shirt explaining how her father had purchased it for her b/c it reminded him of 'all of her kids'. She could not have been over 21.

The place was a mess...

We figured out that we were meant to be over by the Medical center.

Well...we left and went to the proper hospital and found magazines, flat screen tvs, hot coffee and fantastic staff.

Wow. Very, very sad.
