I would go to Wilford Hall since I'm retired military and it's just down the street from where I'll be at work.
and I've prepared desensitization presentations for SEAL's before, so I've pretty much seen anything they can throw at you. Still not pleasant, though. So far the worst has been these two guys that burned to death on my first ship and the smell of burning flesh didn't go away for months. To make matters worse, the location they burned up in was right next to where we ate. yummy...

I'm not a doctor, but you're supposed to drink apple juice--if the pain goes away, it's your gallbladder, if not, you're having a heart attack. So, good luck with that!

seriously? I was going to stop by the store and apple juice does sound good. I ended up just having a sandwich for breakfast (some of us eat that a little bit later than others..) because I don't feel like elevating the pain level. I can live with where it is now. Just turning the radio volume up so that noise under the hood will go away.. my physical therapist taught me that one.

You don't have any pain in your neck, arm, shoulder area, do you? You really need to be careful and not wait too long if you think it might be something serious.

Better to feel silly than to feel nothing ever again, I always say.

no, it's all in my right abdomen area around the lower ribs. I think it is just a muscle strain because there are no other symptoms at all. No fever, no back pain, shoulder pain, arm pain, navel area pain, nausea, bathroom issues, appetite is normal. I have no idea how I did it, but I'm thinking that's all it is. I'll definitely get it checked out if it goes back to how it was this morning, though.

That's usually how I utilize my health insurance

Not mine! I had terrible, intense pain, and I know something about pain, I've had two babies. :-) This was far worse. I did throw up at the last minute, but that was simply because my body couldn't digest the food I had just eaten thanks to pancreatitis and a blocked bile duct. It was the worst pain I have ever experienced. I have a pretty high threshold, and I'd give this an 8-9 out of 10, to a point where I thought I was going to pass out if I didn't get some relief. It was right in the center of my body, mainly radiating from midpoint between my chest and belly button.

My hubby thought I had gas. Jeez! I ended up with such an infection, it took 4 days in the hospital on antibiotics before they could do surgery. What a mess!!

Of course I'll say now that I'm glad it was gallbladder/pancreatitis than a heart attack!!

yes, if it is in the navel area, that is almost always a sign to get help quick. I can almost take full breaths now and I keep stretching out my side and that seems to help some. Pretty strange if it was just a pulled muscle because that was some pain I haven't felt in a long time.
