Tomorrow's the big day!

WTWTA!!!!! I have been waiting for this one for a looooooong time!

Where The Wild Things Are!!!!! It's gotten really good reviews, too.

I hope no one is going to see it while hoping there are no sniveling brats there--it's ultimately a kids' movie.

My kids watched the two episodes of Wife Swap that featured the Heenes. They tell me that the Heene kids were probably the least disciplined and most spoiled kids they'd ever seen. If you watch that show and have seen some of the wacky families on there, you know that says a lot.

I'm a pretty crappy parent, but that Wife Swap show often makes me feel much better about myself.

I really want to see it, but nobody wants to go with me
One of my coworkers had never even heard of the book. Read one e-mail from him and you'd be surprised he even knew what a book was, though.

and anyone following that missile launcher story? It's titled "Missile Launcher Found in Comal County" on KABB http://www.kabb.com/
For some reason nobody else has picked it up. According to the 9:00 PM news last night, the guy that found it said it wasn't there five weeks ago and the property is in the flight path of SA Airport. This should set off quite a few alarms you'd think...

Pure genius!

Quote:
Jarrette Schule was cutting down trees on his rural property in Comal County when he saw something green. After closer inspection he realized it was a missile launcher. Schule didn't know what to do next so he put it in his truck and took it home. Schule's Tuesday afternoon was spent making phone calls to the FBI, Fort Sam Houston and Homeland Security eventually the U.S. Army called him back. A special agent showed up at his door on Wednesday and a disposal team from Lackland Air Force Base got rid of the device. Schule has no idea how the missile launcher got on his land.

Here's an idea, the next time anyone finds what may be an explosive on their property, leave it alone and call the authorities to deal with it!

Apparently the property owner wasn't concerned about this, judging from the photo of him staged by the Express-News photographer. In that photo, the guy is grinning and holding the missile launcher as if it were the catch of the day.
