We're not going to debate the value of an off-topic thread or whether the board will have one. That's the mod team's call. Let's just agree that it's not everyone's cup of tea.

We played mini golf at Classic Golf today - great weather! And they've been cleaning the place up some, which was nice! 4 adults and 2 kids, and we finished pretty quick. Lots of other families around too.

Plus I've been reading a lot about the Ruger SP101 and it seems to be the perfect choice. It's pretty odd to not find one bad review of anything on the Interweb, but that's the case with this gun. There is a youtube of this kinda strange guy that has issues with the force of a .357 round, but he's obviously an idiot. I personally love the extra loud bang and the big kick it gives out. Definitely a man's gun

Did ya get the Ruger? I know you liked my .357 a lot, that sucker is a lot of fun to shoot!

You'll have to bring it out to the range, I'd like to see how it would stand up against my GP100. Heck, I might bring out "ol' granddad," the Colt .357 I've got. Now that's a man's gun!

Oh, and we never discussed shooting slugs through a 12 gauge. This is one next to a .45 ACP...

And this is the HD shotgun set-up you need...

Oh, and you wonder why I like all the Russian mil-surp stuff, this is what a 57-year-old Russian SKS can do at 50 yards with iron sights...

Is that the one on 151?

It was a great day for mini-golf! Heck, it was a great day period! What beautiful weather we've been having...

Yup - we actually played pretty good too - not that it would have mattered in that weather!

Been thinking about taking my kids to mini-golf, but worry they may be too young. What do ya'll think is a good age for that -- and for bowling. Looooove bowling!!

We saw some kids there, prob about 4-5 yrs old, having fun. I don't know how far they got into the game before losing interest, but the hole or two we saw them at looked fun!

And we mentioned bowling today too - I haven't been in forever. Bowling is my favorite!
