Same here, CL is full of this crap and it's sad as it distracts from the usefulness of the site!

We've had several thread on CL scams, this being one of the longer ones...

Big Craigslist scam called the Nigerian scam! BEWARE!

By the way, I feel sorry for any legitimate businesses that may be located in Nigeria. These scams much have a serious impact on their sales...this new comercial is an interesting twist on it!

Cheers! M2

it's definitely a scam. If they aren't here and willing to come over in the day time, don't even get into a conversation with them.

and how am I scary? You've never seen the videos of the guys who bought the Wii when they first came out and paraded around with it in front of a bunch of people that wanted one and then smashed it in front of them? The look on their faces was priceless.

there's also some of the PS3 I thnk.

So, you have to go through all those steps? I already tried the water and vinegar and it seemed to work a bit but this smell is strong. I am thinking I need a fan to ventalate the area much better.

Default When it rains, it pours!

Something happened to my alarm system at home and now it's on Delay and will not allow me to set it at night or when we leave. On Monday I stayed home due to my back being out and noticed after I went to the door around 4 or 5 that there was a note at my door from the police telling me they responded to my alarm but did not notice anything wrong with the premises. I was home and did not hear a thing. (I'd hate to think I slept through it) Now the alarm just has a Delay under zone 1 and will not accept my code. I have the manual but nothing is clear on it. Anyone with experience with the Model DSC PC5508Z LED Keypad?

Burn some popcorn in that sucker.......clear that other stank right up!

......or you could try putting some squeezed lemon juice in a bowl of water and microwaving it for 2-5 mins.

To me the smell of burnt popcorn would be worse. I will try the lemon trick though.

Google knows all about it http://www.paladinsecurity.com/for_your_home/documents/PC1555-1555MX.pdf (broken link)

can't you just call the security system company? That's what I did when I couldn't figure out something, but I have Broadview (Brinks).

I actually had three respond to me when I was trying to find a home for a kitty. It's very similar to the Nigerian scams. At first I was wondering why there were no homeless kitties in DALLAS OR NASHVILLE???? Then they wrote again and said there was a special air transport service that handled only pets. (). They offered to send the money and pay for the air fare....but needed my account # so they could deposit the money. I just reported them....not that it did any good. These people will stop at nothing....and some are getting very clever (not that a special pet transport service was!) But it eventually leads to transferring money and some ID theft or scam.

BTW - You have good BS radar.....

Will someone buy this for me? I could have bought myself this for what I paid for my two daughter's Christmas presents. But I wouldn't have had anything to take pictures of on Christmas morning.
