I went to see Avatar and had nothing bad to say about it when I came out.

Long? I felt like I got my money's worth.

anyone know if they put a ban on them for NYE again this year? I hadn't heard anything.
They just opened a new stand at Talley and Wiseman.

Fireworks are already going off alright!

It wasn't Santa in his sleigh pulled by reindeer, but some far North Side residents were awakened by a surprise in the sky early Christmas morning.

A fireworks stand at U.S. 281 and Overlook Parkway burst into flames around 4:30 a.m. Friday, shooting colorful flashes of light through the stand's steel roof and causing explosions that jarred neighbors.

Ohmygosh I'm full as a tick and there is an apple crisp in the oven, ready in about 45 minutes. Why, oh why do I do this to myself? No, I don't have to eat it, but I went through all the trouble of making it.....

I made a pecan-crusted pork loin that was out of this world, if I do say so myself. That recipe is a keeper. We're all gettin' the 'itis for sure. I need to go for a 5 mile walk.

I'm trying to decide if my New Year's resolution should be to just accept the fact that I'm a night owl and a late day/evening person and stop feeling guilty about it, or start being an early bird. We're just NOW putting the pork roast in the oven. While everyone else is sitting around rubbing their bellies and groaning "ohhhhhhh, I ate too much" we're sitting here saying ~ "wow, dinner smells yummy!"

And I gotta say, even tho I'm not anywhere NEAR the cook I used to be, I still make a pretty mean stuffing!
