Agreed. I dont know why ppl always hate on chains. Someone (me) is obviously eating at them considering they do so well. It just depends on the chain. I would never eat at Logans but I really enjoyed Ruby Tuesdays (good food, excellent service, be sure to ask to be seated in "Susannas" section shes there every F-Sun.)

I like non chains as well and we try to support them as much as possible provided the food doesnt suck and the service is good. Some non chains the food just isnt good (Tycoon Flats WTF?) and the service can be subrate at best (Porky Js)

I honestly don't care if a chain made my baked potato. Or a post, or a road sign....they will do a better job and save me time. My time is precious these days. Three cheers for the chain gang!

Not the perfect plan, but a step in the right direction and something SA definitely needs. I'm guessing there would be at least a 95% failure rate if it actually tested competence...

Now the Government want competence test before you can be a dog owner | Mail Online

What about having those tests if people want kids?

ANother idea I had is that we need to have some kind of "bi-annual driving review" for people. Make people take a small test/quiz (really simple, just simple reminders like what the YIELD signs means, white stripes, brush up on regulation, etc) that can be done online at home free of charge.

I support both of those, especially the kids one. There is no shortage of people here that should not have kids/are not prepared to have kids and I wish there was a way to turn the ability on and off. Like you can't get pregnant until a doctor flips a switch on your insides. Have an auto kill switch for when your drunk too. I swear a lot of the relationships here come straight from a drunken night at the bar.. not that there isn't any quality from those relationships..

I'll just say that I agree with the parenting test "in theory" but I will also say that I know some pretty amazing people who were born to less-than-stellar parents. So....practically speaking, I would have to disagree with "us" choosing who is allowed to procreate and who isn't. Yes, there are a lot of really sad cases, but as humans, our job is SUPPOSED to be to step in and help out. That's what we're here for. Not BAIL OUT, HELP OUT. Big difference.
