Chain restaurants become chains because of the lousy food, right? Blechy, no one likes this crap, let's build another one!

And if we all up and decided to move downtown, there are plenty of places for us (all 2 million of us) to live, and plenty of amenities that families need, right?

Just checking.

Looks like chicken Monday and Tuesday--KFC needs to step up and offer an actual meal like the crazy place, instead of a STRIP of chicken.

No, we don't have to strip for our chicken!

Well I got a good haircut today. Finally I'm pretty happy with this new barbershop called CLIPPERS on Bandera. Old fashioned place with the spiral thingy outside the door...old newspapers from the 1940s on the walls....peanuts in a barrel...witty discussions about FIESTA from the barber.. Cost: $15.

I'm going to have to tell my FIL. He's been looking for one of those types of shops. Thanks!

Sounds like a nice place. There is a barber outside the Valley Hi gate of Lacland (next to the auto parts place) that I used to go to. They did the hot shaving cream and a straight razor on the back of your neck and around the ears. That's hard to find.

Forgot to mention, CLIPPERS did that, too. One thing that I haven't had in a long time was that neck massage vibration thingy...only got that from a super old barbershop in a rural town.
