I am not nurturing any insanity and do wish to see an end to the violence and do not think views as above help at all in that effort. Your view is your right though it should be noted that gang culture and the violence and crime it breeds does not plague the Hill Country. It is and has been a problem in my neighborhood for the last twenty years though I did move away for around 8 years but returned in 1999. Slowly though I am starting to see more guys in skinny jeans than baggy pants down here, others can take that comment how they will, I am pleased at the changes.

I doubt it is a problem in your neck of the woods like it is here so your view is a bit detached. So many murders down here so of course some of us are concerned, more than someone far away will be most likely too. I wish all we had to worry about was a group 5 or 6 streets outside of my subdivision who only 'sell dope all day' and 'tag the entire neighborhood'. Then again I don't live at the edge of the country or in a subdivision but the inner-city where murder happens more than it should. One is enough, right? No need to compare zip codes but...

BINGO! Their fear comes from not being properly cared for. They were neglected, often, and not taught about love and respect and nurturing within their own families, because their families are broken. They only know fear! I always say, when I see a wannabe gangsta, "Awww, he needs his Daddy." It's sad.

Holy Toledo I think someone may have cast a spell on me because I am seeing visions of donkeys and rainbows and the world is spinning out of control and there are people yes people lots and lots of fat people who keep asking me the time and I don't have a watch or a cell phone or anything. Surely this involves sorcery of some sort. Criminy jeepers.

holy ohio sapphire, I just spent the whole day at BAMC hospital and it was even more creepy than that because there was not one single clock in the entire place. Not one. And no one wore watches either, and the computers and televisions were incredibly void of all clocks too. I'm convinced we stepped into a twilight zone situation...where time does not exist and waiting three hours for a five-minute visit by the doctor shouldn't upset me.

But, wait a minute....how do I even know it was just three hours? It felt like much longer. Hmmmm...today is still Tuesday right? And the year is 2008?
