Question Costco Coupons

I have a question and maybe someone can help me out. I used to go to Costco but since we moved we go to Sams now since its much closer, but I still get those Costco coupons in the mail (along w/ the newsletter) What I am wondering is, can I give these coupons to someone who goes to Costco or can only the card member who they were sent to use them? I know this probably sounds dumb, but I just didnt know if the barcodes on the backs of the coupon are associated in any way with your membership. If not, then hey anyone want a Costco coupon book?

You can give them to anyone with a Costco card. I know because a lady I work with gives me the ones she does not use.

FWIW, it may not be as important to have the physical coupons now. The Sonterra Park Costco stopped collecting the coupons around the end of '08. The register just automatically applies the discount if you buy something for which they have a current coupon. I haven't tried this at the other two stores in the area.

My parents were in Costco about a month ago and forgot their coupons. The lady said that she would let them slide "this time". I go in to the same store two weeks later and try to give the cashier my coupons and she said "oh thats ok, I already got it".
I take my coupons with me just in case. And yes, you can give them to anyone with a membership. I hope that one day we won't need them, I hate trying to keep them straight in the store.

Thanks guys! That was my experience once at the Costco in Selma. One time a cashier automatically gave me the discount and another time a cashier said "I could give you a discount on those if you had the coupons."

What's the price of Mexican soda going for these days at COSTCO? 17.99 for 24?
