Maggie's is also GBNF in SA, they shutted it down and they have been working on it for a long time. Not sure whats it going to be.

The target building has been empty for at least 4 years since they opened the new target at Crossraods.

I have one for ya'll. We had dinner at Tong's Thai on Austin Highway a few weeks ago. Right inside the door is a photo of the Bun N Barrel on the corner.
Tong's Thai used to be called the Bun N Barrel "Terrace" with indoor dining.
The drive in was also there and looks exactly the same as it does now (minor changes) and the smoke house out back is also the same.

My question....just on the NE side of the B N B (across the street) was a business called 'Bees'. This picture was probably from the 50's based on the cars in the photo. I know there was a auto dealer on that corner at one time, but I had never heard of "Bees". The position of the photo doesn't show any of the building or area...only the sign sticking up beyond the Bun N Barrel.

(This would be on the SW corner of the shopping center where the new Spectrum fitness center is located. The lot is currently empty and fenced off.)

Any bells going off?

Thank you Mud! The sign was very tiny in the picture. We could only make out the 'bee" portion. I had no idea it was ever there.

While we're talking about Austin Hwy. Do you know the address of where the Tee Pee restaurant was? I have a pretty good idea, but there are several places that are open fields now.....I can picture it in my mind as a child, but can't remember exactly.
