The Buddys on Vance Jackson became Las Brazas. Las Brazas relocated, and the old Buddys building was torn down about a year ago..

How did the roads in that area change?

The Texas Highway Dept. rebuilt the I10 410 interchange. It's like three stories high now. If you try get on around Cherry Ridge you will end up at Callaghan and have to go back the other way to get back on 410. Vance Jackson is in the middle. You can get on I10 but getting on 410 in the right direction can be tricky and the signs are confusing. I usually take Fred. road now but that means going through Balconey's Hights and the cameras. I would just rather avoid that whole area.

What a change! If I ever get back home for a visit, I better count on getting lost and not being able to find my way around. It'll be worse than being a tourist.

You will be ok. Everybody gets lost. Don't follow the signs on the highway and don't stop to ask directions to the Alamo and you will be fine.

LOL! I think I can remember that...

Thanks, Dwangle. I'm going to go online and see if I can find a picture of the I-10/410 interchange. Three stories high baffles my imagination. I remember that used to be a congested area a long time ago, but never did I think it'd end up like that.

LOL! Are you saying Balcones Hts. is the same as it was back in the '60s? They had a reputation for "vigorous" and sometimes questionable traffic enforcement back then.
