Not quite, Riata Cadillac was at 317 Lexington, around the corner from Downtown Baptist, a long time family friend's Father worked in their body shop.

Did my description sound like Riata? Could have been Cavender Cadillac or are they dealers in Cads? 80's?

Anyone recall a little diner here in an old trolley or railroad car seems like? Used to grab lunch there. Nice little place run by an older fella. Early 70's.

Cavendar Cadillac at 801 Broadway used to be Cavendar Oldsmobile. It's listed as San Antonio Motors Inc in *mud*'s 1936 phonebook

From KLRN's web site.

The 501 Broadway site was built in 1924 to house the San Antonio Buick Company, later known as Spires Buick. With substantial community support, KLRN bought and renovated the existing building and added a studio wing, bringing the total facility square footage to about 36,000 square feet.
