Could be. The brothers, then in their early 30's(?) were relative newcomers to motorcycle
dealership. (this was assumed, based on their having almost no spare parts, new or used, on
the premises, whereas, the older shops seem to have had tons, especially used parts)

On the few occasions I spoke with them, the younger brother, a very affable chap, seemed
sincere in wanting to make the business a success, rather than being an enthusiast supporting
his habit.

Default Triumph shop on southside also ,

Krumm's , yes of course now I remember the name of that place.
There was a Triumph Motorcycle Shop on Lasses St. on the southside, near Lasses and Goliad, just off Goliad on Lasses st...was back maybe 1965 or 1966.
Right there, just, north of Military and Goliad.
Can't even begin to remember the name of that one. It was not a renowned local shop like Krumms
was.

this was Raymond Krumm's dealership. his wife Shirley also ran the place.

they sold Nortons Triumphs and Ducatis

his brother Adrian and wife Mildered had a Harley dealership in Austin. also sold Ducatis.

it was on Barton Springs road and built into the side of a hill.

they lived above the shop.

That must be where Planet K and / or the Brooks Pub is now. Across Lasses from the old Frontier Drive In?

Default Yes, SnappyBob,

Just across and west from the Old Frontier Burger Stand. The best I remember. That was a while back. Way, Way Back in time to me.
A friend that lived on Lasses ended up with a 500cc Triumph Daytona from that shop.

Default Butter Krust Billboard on San Pedro

There have been occasional posts on this site regarding the Butter Krust billboard on San Pedro near the intersection with Hildebrand, the one with the bread slices continuing to fall out of the wrapper. I just came across this picture of the billboard, from August 1980.

i believe the buy-rite owners last name was LARMS, i seem to remember him with white hair. some of my friends from high school worked there. there was also a hardware store to the right of buy-rite, although the name escapes me.

It was Anderson Hardware in the Bartlett Center where Buy-Rite was located. Coley's auto service was on the corner. Ebens Bar-B-Q was between Anderson's and Coleys. There was a Dry Cleaning store, and a Barber Shop owned by Frank Baros. That's where I got my hair cut most of the time.

My very first car was a 1981 Cutlass Supreme 4-door Brougham, very similar to the car in that picture!!!
