The structures that comprised the old Terrell Plaza were substantially demolished a couple of years ago, to make way for the new Target store, along with new retail space that has a re-configured layout at the site. The portion at the east end, that houses Ross Dress For Less and Earl Abels, was left intact, but got a new facade. The Earl Abels portion was actually a mid-1980s addition, that originally housed Miller's Outpost.

The complex is still called Terrell Plaza.

Huh? Terrell plaza is still there, it just doesn't look quite the same.

The original 5050 (at 5050 Broadway in AH), is still there, but under new ownership. The Colonnade location closed a while back.

Interesting that it has survived. Used to know the original(?) owners son, Joe M.
many years ago.

Indeed, not many in that category these days! It must have changed hands many times since it first
opened, but good to see it, too, is hanging on.

At the corner to the north on Broadway is the building where the
Paul Anderson stationary used to be. It is now an antique shop.

I believe the Clegg Company or a Maverick related company were also located near here ( a block north of Houston St on Broadway ?)

The Clegg Co. that I remember
was located closer to the area of Houston St. & Soledad. The building went
all the way back to the riverwalk. Nearby on Soledad was the Solo Serve store.

L.B. Clegg & banker Franz Groos bought the Veramendi Palace (1900s).
The idea was to preserve it but was eventually torn down. This sign was located
atop the building.

Of historical interest; this location was the site of the the old Veramendi House,
where James Bowie was married to Ursula Veramendi.

Located downtown in the courthouse is the marriage certificate. It's written
in Spanish & Mr. Bowie signed his name as "Santiago" Bowie.
There is no mention of San Antonio as the city. "La ciudad de Bejar" is used.
