Not saying I support the whole transgender bathroom thing going on right now but I am sure there was a time when people used to think bathrooms for all race types was unthinkable. People's way of thinking and acceptance tends to change over time.

Woolworth's soda fountain on the corner of Houston St. and Alamo Plaza had a sign that would
direct you to where you could sit based on color.
On one end was for blacks and the other end for whites.
I was very young, but I do recall wondering why there was a need for separation.
I think we sat in the middle. But the looks we got from the waitress was not too pleasant.
