Here is another article about the fire. Gives better and more accurate information than was provided by WOAI or KSAT.

Having lived next to it for six years I can assure you that it isn't haunted. Just a big abandoned building. This was most assuredly arson. It would have cost a forture to renovate this building and bring it back to its original glory - especially since a big portion of the property is now in the flood plain thanks to the big flood in 2002.

I still can't believe that none of the news stations have mentioned the big house under construction and the suspicious nature of the owners tax status on his homestead right next door to the Roaring 20's and the corporate entity that owns the actual roaring 20's property.
Sometimes the news media in this town is a joke.

Im really in shock myself bc I actually managed to get inside and take some pictures the Friday before it happened and as I was leaving I saw them putting up a new sign on the gate that said the site was monitored by wireless security. Ill post some pics in a second and no there are no signs of renovation inside lots of stuff torn down. I wish I could have gotten more of the side by the creek but it was flooded but I will post some of my earlier pictures from a few months back of the outside as well.

Hi!
I'm the one that met you while taking the "after" photos. Are you still going to email me a few photos? I'd love to see.
Take care. Hope to see a few in my e-mail box soon!
