Does anyone know of any place that sells popcorn? But without extra hassles, like a movie theater or the circus or something.

I'm talking about the good kind: real popcorn. Freshly popped and contained in one of those transparent box things and covered in yellow salt. Then put into paper bags or boxes with one of those metal scoopers.

I'm serious. Are there convenience stores that sell it? It seems like back in the 80's the convenience stores sold all kinds of cool stuff like that.

yes, the super targets do ... and yes, back in the 80's i worked at Winn's after school and i loved making the popcorn ... all we had to do was put a batch in and the front counter would be covered with people wanting a bag...small or large --- no medium...

if you are ever downtown, right across from the Alamo is a store called Del Sol...they sell popcorn like this...they make it right at the front door and it draws many people into the store, pretty smart marketing...

It's baseball season. If you see a ballgame going on, pull in and check out the concession stand. I'm sure they have it, our's does anyway. Plus you will be supporting a good cause.

If you want some good kettle corn there is a place in Kyle its an antique store and that stuff is the best that I have ever had. I know I have an address somewhere but worth the drive.

K-Mart used to have the stalest, most wonderful popcorn hanging on racks in the front when you walked in. Poor K-Mart. I miss them......

Great thread, though.....I'm anxious to hear where you can get some, too--hey what about the bowling alleys?
